What Does My Score
Mean ?
We, at Front Range Preventive Imaging want to make
sure that the results of our test are completely understood by you
and your physician.
- There are published guidelines which can help
your doctor make appropriate decisions based upon your coronary
calcium score.
- We are always available to you for questions
about your results.
- In addition, for those individuals who would
like a more comprehensive consultation, we have retained the
services of a few expert physicians who would be glad to consult
with you and review your heartscan results onsite.
In this section, we discuss how to understand your
test results, what steps you should follow based upon your calcium
score and important strategies and resources for those who have been
scanned.
We interpret your result by examining the
total calcium score (agatson score) to see if it is minimal, mild,
moderate or severe according to universally accepted criteria. We also
compare your score to thousands of others your age who have also been
examined at similar facilities to see how you compare.
