Am I a Candidate ?

Who should have the EBT heartscan?

  • If you are self-referred and using it as a screen. HeartScan suggests middle-aged adults (men 35-65, women 40-70) with or without risk factors (smoking, elevated cholesterol, etc.)
  • If you are visiting upon referral by a physician
    • To assist in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease
    • To help rule out obstructive coronary disease in a patient with symptoms like chest pain
    • To help determine the need or aggressiveness of cholesterol lowering drugs or other risk reduction therapy
